When Cobbs Bakehouse took over the bakery from Jane Fraser at Drum Farm, they inherited a range of traditional home baked cakes which were proving to be hugely popular with customers throughout the Highlands of Scotland.
Originally production was solely for the company’s three outlets, but demand from other visitor attractions soon enabled the business to grow. Cobbs Bakehouse has outgrown the original kitchen at Drum Farm and now occupies larger premises in Drumnadrochit. There are five full-time and four part-time staff working all year round to supply clients throughout Scotland with some establishments taking up to 200 cakes per week. Among regular clients are the Scottish Parliament, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Edinburgh Zoo, and Cairngorm Mountain. Exclusive ranges can now be produced, and the directors are committed to looking at new market opportunities and continual product development.
The entire product range is baked to traditional recipes using natural ingredients without additives or preservatives.
